Requirments

- The requirements for A.P. Calculus are 80% or better in Pre-calculus 11 or Mathematics 11 Enriched. Pre-calculus 12 must be taken concurrently with this course or have been passed previously.

Understanding and solving

- A.P. Calculus 12 is the final stop for students in high school

- Develop, demonstrate, and apply conceptual understanding of mathematical ideas through play, story, inquiry, and problem solving

 

- Visualize to explore and illustrate mathematical concepts and relationships

 

- Apply flexible and strategic approaches to solve problems

 

- Solve problems with persistence and a positive disposition

 

- Engage in problem-solving experiences connected with place, story, cultural practices, and perspectives relevant to local First Peoples communities, the local community, and other cultures

Communicating and representing

- Students will build, show, and use a their understanding of mathematical ideas through play, storytelling, inquiry, and problem solving

- they will also use their visualization to investigate mathematical problems and their relationships.

- Also, they will use smart and strategic thinking when they are approaching mathematical problems.

- Not only that but they will also approach challenges with  a sense of perseverance and a positive attitude.

- Finally they will participate in problem-solving experiences that are about places, story, cultural practices, and perspectives​

Connecting And Reflecting

- Students will reflect on their mathematical thinking and processes.

- And they will also, make connections between mathematics and other concepts, disciplines, and personal interests.

- In addition, they will look at their mistakes and learn and grow from them.​​
