 In Science 8 at Palmer the Biology unit focuses on the cell. This part of the curriculum mainly focuses on living things on a microscopic level to show how life functions and stays healthy.

• Cell Theory: You’ll learn the three main rules of cell theory and how scientists discovered that all living things.
   

• Cell Structure and Organelles: You will learn about the different parts of the cell like the nucleus, mitochondria, and cell membrane, then you'll compare the differences between plant cells and animal cells.
  
  Cell Processes: You’ll study how things move around the cells through processes, and how cells get their energy they need to survive.
