At R.C. Palmer Secondary the Social Studies program is made to transform students into active, informed citizens by encouraging deep inquiry and critical thinking. From the foundational Incentive Humanities 8 program to specialized senior electives, students explore the development of political institutions, economic ideologies, and Canada’s evolving identity within a global context. By analyzing complex social issues and historical conflicts, Palmer Griffins develop the essential skills to interpret, analyze, and communicate findings that will empower them to contribute meaningfully to a democratic society.
