  • Political Organizations: The growth and function of Canadian political systems, including the First Peoples governance.

  • Ideas: The influence of political and economic ideas on the public policy and society.

  • Inequity: Historical and current injustices that still challenge Canada's identity as a multicultural society. 

 

 

 

  Key Topics of Study

  • Canadian History: Students will be learning about some big events from 1914 to the present, like Canada's role in the the World Wars and how it got to its national freedom.

  • Indigenous Perspectives: And they will be learning about the importance on the First Peoples laws, truth and reconciliation and traditions.

  • Government: Then, the purpose of the Canadian governmental system and including federal, provincial, and municipal levels.

  • Society & Economy: Finally the immigration and refugee policies, multiculturalism, and Canada’s role in the global economy.
